Carrying on a generations-old family
tradition, Maria Del Espadín and her daughter, Tempestad, bring decades of teaching & performing experience
to their students.
Regardless of the constant commercialization and modernization of Flamenco, Mama Flamenca and
La Hija Flamenca (as affectionately called by their many students) strive to preserve the authenticity of Flamenco and to
present Flamenco to the public as the gypsies of Andalucia intended Flamenco to be. To learn true Flamenco...not only as the music
& dance that it is, but also as a way of life...this Flamenco family invites you to come observe a class or try one
out at no expense upon registering with the Academy. We invite you to experience first-hand what it is that sets Del Espadín
Flamenco & Spanish Dance Academy apart from all others!
All new registrants can try out their first Flamenco
class for free. Please visit www.flamencohouston.com & print the coupon from the home page to present at time the class is taken. Coupon applies to only first Flamenco
or Belly Dance class. All other classes and/or workshops are excluded from this promotion.

Saludos
a Todos!
Message from Tempestad:
First & foremost, I would like to thank all who supported
me in my return to the tablao since my car wreck last December. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to
welcome new ones to the Houston Flamenco family. I will forever be grateful to all those who stuck by me through this
very trying & difficult time in my life. Your support, loyalty & encouragement for me to get back on my feet
meant the world to me!
Special thanks to my family...most importantly, Mama Flamenca!, because without Mama
none of this would be possible for not only me, but for so many of us who adore flamenco!...to all of our AMAZING students...it
makes me so proud to see you LIVE flamenco...to Lucia & Val for being our special guests at such a significant event,
& to all our wonderful aficionados & friends!
NOW on to new things!!!
Cuadro La Tempestad will
be back at Cafe Byblos on Wednesday, July 29, 2009! We are very excited to be introducing two new flamenco artists to
Houston. Guillermo Serpas, guitarrista, will be joining the Cuadro, & Marisol Monasterio will be making her cante

Please join us at Cafe Byblos on July 29th to welcome Guillermo & Marisol to the tablao!
Muchisimas gracias y abrazos a todos! Tempestad www.flamencospirit.com www.flamencohouston.com
